I have over 40 years experience dealing with surveys and valuations on residential and commercial properties as well as appointments under the Party Wall etc Act 1996. As an RICS Registered Valuer I also provide expert valuation reports for Court proceedings in matrimonial and other cases. I am a member of SPAB (Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings) and the Pyramus & Thisbe Club (a mutual organisation for Party Wall Surveyors).Our commercial agency covers sales, lettings and acquisitions mainly, but not exclusively, of retail properties on behalf of a number of long-standing clients and a range of other individuals. We also have extensive experience between us in the office relating to Landlord & Tenant and business rates matters, leasehold enfranchisement and lease extensions for flats and development appraisals.

Surveyor responsible for an office in Southend for 2 years and one in Brentwood for 7 years, with periodic involvement in Maldon office. Main external valuers for the Leeds Permanent Building Society, valuations and surveys on all types of residential and small commercial properties throughout Essex and East London together with landlord and tenant advice on commercial buildings. Managed a multi-let industrial building in London NW10.

Surveyor covering valuations of residential and commercial property, surveys, Party Wall matters in London, rent reviews, lease renewals and rating advice. Based in Brentwood for all except 12 months in Southend-on-Sea but also operating from Chingford and Colchester offices to provide cover where necessary. I also undertook dilapidations and management work on properties as far afield as Leeds, Bristol and Exeter.

Sandwich year student placement during which I spent 6 months each in commercial and residential sections. At the time, the City Council had just acquired Charles Hill's shipyard which now forms part of the City Docks redevelopment and I was involved in a number of aspects of this. I also spent several months valuing council houses for sale and undertaking insurance valuations on council owned properties as well as assisting with rent reviews.
