This position is responsible for the coordination and management of the Northern Region juvenile detention reform initiative. The JDAI Coordinator is charged with assisting to reduce disproportionate minority contact, inappropriate use of detention, and over reliance on detention in a rational risk-based manner without compromising public safety through the implementation of the strategies of the Annie E. Casey Foundation's (AECF) JDAI. To accomplish these goals the JDAI Coordinator, will coordinate this system change by utilizing the eight "Core Strategies" of JDAI to provide a framework for conducting a thorough, data driven examination of our juvenile justice system and using that information to develop and implement plans for system improvement.
