The… Show more 400 MW Cambalache Power Plant Combined Cycle Conversion Project; Puerto Rico Electric Power Authority Arecibo, Puerto Rico- (Project Controls/Scheduling)The Puerto Rico Electric Power Authority (PREPA) has requested Stanley Consultants to provide professional engineering consulting services for the final design of the conversion of the Central Cambalache Power Plant from simple cycle to combined cycle operation. The facility currently has three ABB gas turbine generators. The objective is to convert the plant to combined cycle operation by installing new heat recovery steam generators on each existing turbine, and a single steam turbine for the generation of additional electricity and all support equipment such as cooling towers, condenser, and water treatment. A resource loaded engineering schedule, earned values analysis charts, progress curves, and cash flow curves were developed to support the engineering and procurement phases of this project. The project began in June 2005 working with engineers, field personnel, and project management to develop an overall EPC resource loaded baseline schedule. As a lead scheduler progress curves, quantity tracking curves, and milestone charts to target future project progress were also developed to support weekly planning on site. All monthly progress reporting was submitted to the client and upper management for project review and analysis.1,100 MW Manatee Expansion Project; Florida Municipal Power Association; Parrish, Florida- (Planner/Scheduler)The Manatee Unit 3 expansion project was a natural gas, 4 on 1 combined cycle power plant generating 1,100 megawatts. The Manatee project is located in Parrish, Florida and was completed in May of 2005. As the lead scheduler responsibilities were to develop and maintain the overall EPC resource loaded schedule. Presented schedule reports and progress reports to the client, project management, and field personnel during weekly on-site meetings. Reported quantity tracking, and earned value analysis during weekly superintendent meetings. Updated monthly reports, narratives, and invoicing to the client. Overall the project was complete on time and within budget and was a major stepping stone to gaining future work with FPL. Show less
