CurrentOversee and provide leadership for all aspects of national-caliber men's and women's cross country and track & field programs. Track & field programs were started from scratch when the College added the sports of men's and women's track & field in 1998-99. Re-built struggling men's and women's cross country teams. Participate in Middle-Atlantic Conference (MAC) and NCAA Division III.Top 20 team finishes at the NCAA Championships in men's and women's cross country, indoor track & field, and outdoor track & field since 2004. In 11 years, the XC/T&F programs have won a combined 22 MAC team titles and 2 "Triple Crowns". Individually, ECXC and ECTF has produced 153 All-MAC and 16 All-American athletes. The streak of "Eight Straight" (1999-06) MAC titles cemented the Elizabethtown College men's cross country program's status in ETown sports history. Men's soccer had won every MAC title from 1962-67 or six in a row. The men of ECXC won their second-ever MAC title in 1999 after a 34-year hiatus atop the conference. They then went on to win eight Middle-Atlantic Conference team titles in a row. The tie-breaker with the men's soccer team came by the narrowest of margins as unranked ETown upset nationally ranked Widener University by a single point to win the 2005 MAC title! Kevin Clark became the College's first-ever National Champion in 2007 when he cleared 17' 1-1/2" in the pole vault at the NCAA Division III Indoor T&F Championships. He became the first Elizabethtown College athlete in any sport to achieve the honor since 1982. Clark achieved this feat without an indoor practice area.ETown has been represented at 22-straight NCAA Championships in cross country, indoor track & field, and outdoor track & field dating back to May, 2002.2002 men's cross country team had highest cumulative GPA (3.54) of any team in NCAA Division III. The 2002 team also won MAC and Mideast Regional Championships and finished 15th at NCAAs.
