In 2013, I created my own Consulting Business, Zero Eight Eighty Ventures Inc. which I have successfully been able to work with some fantastic companies over the years. During the early 2000’s I was driven around sports (Rugby) and working with the family business in Land Development with Nor Chris Holdings Inc. In 2013, 2 friends and I started a private equity company looking to help generate a cash injection into a smaller Oil/ Gas Company and help make them grow. This step got me involved with investment banking firms and one of the companies I am associated with today. I have over 20 years of experience in business development and project management. I have over 4 years of private equity experience in the oil and gas sector. I have held top positions in companies like Capwest Equity Partners and Nor-Chris Holdings and Ian Murray & Company (IMC). I have a strong mergers and acquisitions background with focus on post-transaction integration in varied sectors including oilfield services, industrial and construction and have been involved with many start-ups including a new venture of a local muni golf brand. Played High Level Rugby for over 16 years. Over 13 years as a Board Member on The Rugby Club Board. Member of the 2nd Oldest Gun Club in Canada (1910) – Only 18 Members (Private Membership). Part of the Rugby Business Network. Lived in Los Angeles, California 2002-2004. Recently started playing golf in 2016 and have been able to shoot my best score of 79 and luckily had a hole in one in 2017! I am also a board member of The Victoria Men's Golf Club (Edmonton) as the Director of Auditor Services and created a position of Marketing & Sponsorship that I have stepped into. I was awarded the Fellowship/Sportsmanship Award in 2022 - This award is to recognize Good Fellowship, Courtesy, Integrity, Dedication, Respect and Honesty. Was one of the original Movember participants in Canada and raised the most fundraising dollars for three years in a row. I have a global perspective and have travelled extensively, adding value to my entrepreneurial and adventurous personality. Thus, my education was further enhanced by going to Santa Monica College, Los Angeles, California and I graduated from James Cook University studying for my Masters/ MBA in July 2023.
