Hybrid Laboratory Technician/Scientist at Mountain Health Clinical Solutions, a collaboration between Mountain Health Network and HealthTrackRx, serving the Huntington, WV community. Responsibilities include: frontend data entry (ensuring CLIA/CAP requirements are met) and performing both moderate and high complexity laboratory procedures including, but not limited to, reverse solid phase extraction; CLC specimen validity testing; solvent creation; and LCMSMS startup, calibration, QC, and maintenance.

Additional to the duties and responsibilities outlined below under Medical Scribe, I act as the onsite supervisor and main point of contact for internal staff at ScribeAmerica and our clients, as well as lead a team of 20-25 scribes assigned between two facilities located in Huntington, WV and Ironton, OH. In this role I provide administrative support, quality assurance, ensurance of appropriate staffing, partner with clients to ensure continued efficacy of the scribe program, and perform other duties as assigned. Duties and Responsibilities: Responsible for the full life-cycle of an employee (to include recruiting, interviewing, hiring, training, development, guidance, counseling, mentoring, and termination); Ensure full scheduled shift coverage, adequate staffing, and coverage for call-outs; Manage the timecards for potential errors and address any time-punch issues (i.e. missed punches, tardy and early punches); Create, post, and manage the monthly schedule by the due date; Complete the monthly report by the due date; Schedule a monthly call with manager for updates on the scribe program and to communicate client goals/requests; Schedule, plan, and execute quarterly All-Scribes Meetings; Ensure scribe compliance with facility-specific requirements and ScribeAmerica policies and procedures; Seek client and provider input for staff improvement; Communicate with physicians and respond to physician complaints under the direction of manager; Communicate with the facility human resources, IT, and other facility liaisons to coordinate compliance

Tasked with relieving Emergency Department providers of clerical duties by performing real-time documentation of patient encounters thus allowing them to focus more directly on clinical care. Duties and Responsibilities:Chart in real-time as the provider assesses and examines the patient; Document the history, physical exam, assessment and plan, results, procedures, treatment, and physician consultations; Record provider-dictated diagnoses, prescriptions and instructions for patient follow-up; Locate and obtain past medical histories, previous charts, past results and studies; Transcribe ancillary test results and their interpretations; Check on the progress of labs, imaging studies, and other patient data; Retrieve and display current and past EKGs and imaging films (e.g. X-rays) for the provider to review and record provider’s interpretation; Understand basic ICD-10 documentation requirements; Comply with all national and local PHI laws including in HIPAA and HITECH; Comply with all facility, department, company policies and procedures; Perform a variety of other non-clinical tasks specific to the local facility
