Manager - Underground Transmission Operations

• Ensure feeder processing, fault locating, positive identification of feeders and high/low tension switching are performed in compliance with operating procedures. • Efficiently applying protection on feeders while following company rules and regulations. • Working knowledge of switching at 4KV substations and high-tension levels.• Supervise subordinate employees while executing daily job functions in the field. • Respond to emergencies involving the electrical system during storm and heat contingencies.• Ensure safe work practices are followed according to environmental laws, DOT regulations, EH&S, and other company policies and procedures. • Enforce good house keeping of emergency vehicles in compliance with company and DOT procedures. • Respond to D-Faults and ensure prompt reporting of hazardous conditions. Ensure proper handling, stor-age, transportation, chain of custody, and disposal of hazardous materials.• Participate in job briefings and job site safety exchanges. • Execute work in various enclosed spaces including manholes and service vaults. • Work rotating shifts including nights, midnights, weekends and holiday in response to company business needs.
