The company’s main mission is to tackle cancers with substantial unmet need by reinventing the traditional approach to target and drug discovery.Born out of pioneering research at the Wellcome Sanger Institute in collaboration with the Netherlands Cancer Institute, and anchored around a proprietary platform that has seen 20 years of fine-tuning and development, Mosaic has active programmes across a variety of oncology indications and disease biology pathways.

Position allocated through Queen's University Belfast. Primarily involved in pharmaco-epidemiological research, specifically concerning Multiple Myeloma and the use of 'statins', but also participated in the review and support of PhD driven research and publication development.My contribution during the internship was recognised with an award for the best research presentation of all participants in the summer internship programme. The result of this experience was an appreciation of the research involved in scientific academia and the development of my skills in reading, analysing and writing scientific publications. Following my time with the Centre, I was invited back to present at the Haematological Association of Ireland's 2013 conference and at an internal conference held by Queen's University Belfast.
