Hello, I'm Christopher Tellez, a proud First-Generation graduate from Texas Tech University with a passion for both the sports and real estate. Throughout my academic journey, I gained hands-on experience in game day operations, ticket sales, and event management, which sparked my desire to pursue a career that combines both fields.During my internship with the National High School Basketball Association, I streamlined event scheduling and designed promotional materials that increased visibility for various chapters. This role sharpened my project management and communication skills, which I’m eager to bring to the sports and real estate sectors.As a First-Generation Peer Mentor at Texas Tech, I mentored 20+ students, guiding them toward academic success. This experience enhanced my relationship-building and support skills—qualities I aim to utilize throughout my career.As a Sales and Operations Intern with Lubbock Matadors SC, I played a role in promoting the team’s inaugural season by selling season tickets and merchandise, contributing to the growth of the team’s fanbase. I also helped organize and execute local events that increased brand visibility and fostered community engagement. These experiences allowed me to refine my sales and customer service skills, as well as develop a strong understanding of event planning and community outreach.Currently, as a Sales and Service Associate at WSS, I manage inventory, provide customer service, and drive sales, helping customers find the right athletic gear to enhance their performance and lifestyle. Working in a sports and fitness-focused retail environment has fueled my passion for the sports industry, allowing me to build strong customer relationships, promote sports-related products, and contribute to brand growth.
