As a member of System Engineering Simulator (SES) in the NASA/JSC Software, Robotics and Simulation Division provided simulation development, configuration management, and technical writing expertise.- Created a flyable real-time Orion to ISS docking simulation, by adding a hand controller interface into an early version of the Antares that lack hand controller support. Could be flown with forces based on pure motion, or actual thruster characteristics and positions.- Redesigned the Configuration Management methods and tools used in the SES, to utilize in-house modified versions of freely available software packages such the Python based Trac and Subversion.- Developed the Contact model for the JSC Engineering Orbital Dynamics (JEOD) software package. Also created the Tutorial simulations and wrote the introductory document for JEOD.- Led the SES Rover simulation project, which created a new Trick, JEOD, and EDGE real-time simulation to demonstrate the capabilities of the SES.

Provided software development expertise as a member of the Intelligence, Sensors, and Reconnaissance (ISR) Division at D&SCI, with accomplishments in simulation and joint/multinational interoperability experimentation.- Ported and optimized a post process MatLab tool for simulating Acoustic and Seismic sensors into C++. New model is used for real time simulation applications.- Designed and ran simulation experiments involving high fidelity sensor models. Data from these experiments was analyzed to determine the accuracy of the simulation software and the load that realistic sensors would produce on the proposed Future Combat Systems network infrastructure.- Developed code to translate network message formats for Future Combat Systems interoperability experiments using Java and C++. Also worked on Jabber/XMPP interoperability, including the development of a full featured Jabber client that utilizes a specialized Army authentication and whiteboarding application.

Oversaw network and system operations, maintenance, and support activities running Army Battle Control Systems (100+ users) as part of 6-person team.- Hand-selected as 1st Network/System Administrator for multimillion-dollar ABCS Project at JMRC. Received recognition for efforts in ensuring optimal network and security software functionality, as well as connecting a heterogeneous set of operating systems running specialized functions.- Provided IT support for organization with 1,100 team members (800 military, 300 civilian). Created and managed user accounts, groups, computer domain membership, and managed workstation security and configuration.- Designed and developed Intranet site that tracked equipment, network data, and reporting activities using SQL, Flash, and Cold Fusion. Information was subsequently used to determine automation distribution plan and create accurate network diagrams.
