I have had many years of working with people in a customer service capacity. I worked 18+ months at Carl's Jr., beginning at 18 where I became a shift leader after 3 months of being on the job. After leaving Carl's Jr., I worked for Round Table Pizza for 4+ years working as a crew member and a delivery driver. There, I won awards for my customer service, my diverse skill set, and for being the best delivery driver. After receiving the award for the best delivery driver, I was rewarded with being the Lead delivery driver. In late 2007, I joined the active-duty Air Force and was stationed in Mountain Home, Idaho. I developed many skills while working in the military like driving a forklift, record keeping, how to work cohesively with other teams, learning how to manage teams of people with various resources, and leadership and management skills. I deployed to Kuwait in 2009 and Afghanistan in 2011 during this period which speaks to my ability to work well under pressure and under less-than-ideal conditions. I also went to participate in 4 different exercises during my time in Mountain Home, receiving a medal for my conduct. After my time in the active-duty Air Force, I joined the Air National Guard in Boise, Idaho as a part-time military member with civilian employment, of which I am still currently a member. I worked at the J.R. Simplot Company as a warehouse forklift driver and as an equipment operator at their french fry factory in Caldwell, Idaho from October 2012 to May 2017. While employed, I was on the implementation teams for Simplot's new lock-out tag-out team. I was a part of the planning committee and the implementation team that trained others on the new requirements according to OSHA safety standards. I was also part of a yearly safety incidents team that worked to minimize accidents during cleaning days and use the data of the injuries to determine where to focus our efforts. This, among other things, was the focus of the safety committee for my shift, as I was the Vice-President. On top of these items and my regular duties, I also helped others to understand their benefits, including how to get the most out of their retirements. In 2020, I became the assistant purchaser/warehouse worker/receiver/inventory specialist at CTI Foods where I helped implement a new inventory tracking system to allow for more accurate tracking of production materials being used day-to-day. My days in the Air National Guard have led me to 2 deployments to Turkey in 2016 and Afghanistan in 2020 where I was in charge of my own section of my career field.
