I am a British citizen, raised on a quaint island just off the south coast of Great Britain. Presently, I reside in Bogor, Indonesia, accompanied by my wife and our delightful 4-year-old son.My educational journey commenced with graduation in 2010, and my subsequent pursuit led me to Phuket, Thailand, where I delved into the realm of TEFL teaching certificates. This marked the genesis of an enriching odyssey, unveiling itself as a series of adventures and the initiation of my teaching profession.With a robust twelve years of teaching expertise under my belt, seven of which were dedicated to a senior teaching role at the English First Language School, and an additional five years contributing to the educational landscape of international schools in Jakarta and Bogor.At present, I find myself in the stimulating environment of Sekolah Bogor Raya, an IB World School in Bogor, Indonesia, where I am actively engaged in educating Grades 7 and 8 through the Cambridge Checkpoint Program.In my pedagogical approach, I hold the conviction that each student is a unique individual deserving of an environment that nurtures their physical, mental, emotional, and social growth. I am committed to modeling my own passion for learning to inspire my students. Fostering a positive classroom atmosphere is paramount to me, as it lays the foundation for students to realize their full potential.In my role as a teacher, I am dedicated to aiding each student in discovering their distinctive learning styles. My curriculum is meticulously crafted to embrace a variety of learning approaches, encompassing hands-on activities, cooperative learning, projects, thematic exploration, and individual tasks—all designed to actively engage and ignite the spark of learning in every student.
