Christopher Tierney is the Manager of Legal Compliance at Bechtel Corporation and works out of its Reston, Virginia headquarters. In his current role, he oversees the company’s global anti-corruption, economic sanctions, anti-boycott, anti-trust and nuclear export compliance programs. He also serves as counsel to the Ethics & Compliance department. Prior to joining Bechtel, Mr. Tierney worked in private practice for Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft and Morgan Lewis in Washington, D.C. where he focused largely on global anti-corruption and other white collar matters. Before working in private practice, Mr. Tierney was a clerk for the Honorable John A. Terry at the D.C. Court of Appeals. He graduated, cum laude, from Catholic University Law School and is admitted to the Massachusetts, District of Columbia and Virginia bars. Mr. Tierney is a frequent speaker at white collar and compliance conferences and author of numerous articles on compliance matters. He has also recently been a guest lecturer at George Washington University Law School and American University’s Washington College of Law.
