Information Technology Security Administrator
Current* Setup, install, configure and support Jira (core product development and service desk application)* Configure and support Slack (company messaging, communications application)* Configure, support and maintain the corporate VPN and network connectivity.* Track and manage corporate IT assets* Create, modify or delete/deactivate user accounts (email, VPN, AWS, Slack, etc.)* Maintain, troubleshoot and administer the use of local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), mainframe networks, computer workstations, connections to the Internet and peripheral equipment* Evaluate and install computer hardware, networking software, operating system software and software applications* Implement and Manage Security tools* Receives and looks into alerts daily. Reviews the most recent SIEM alerts to see their relevance and urgency. Carries out triage to ensure that a genuine security incident is occurring. Oversees and configures security monitoring tools*Assesses information technology security breaches and takes appropriate corrective action following IT Security Incident Plan and procedures*Responsible for backups of systems, including device configurations, logs and other identified data*Provides support and guidance to colleagues and assists with the prioritization and allocation of infrastructure and related hardware tickets to improve Service Desk delivery*Promotes the effective and secure use of technology and consults with business partners to ensure gaps are identified and addressed*Develops, implements, and evaluates organization-wide technology security-awareness education initiatives to increase employee knowledge and capacity to mitigate risk*Maintains up-to-date knowledge and expertise in the information technology field, including current and emerging cyber threats and security vulnerabilities
