Network Technology Specialist
CurrentPerform maintenance, monitoring, and configuration of network infrastructure equipment which includes, but is not limited to a Cisco core switch, edge switches, wireless LAN controllers, Wireless Access Points, Security Cameras, etc..Help manage primary Palo Alto firewalls, as well as firewalls at multiple remote offices. These responsibilities include, but are not limited to security rule creation/management, building VPN tunnels to other firewalls and virtual networks, building bi-directional NAT policies for external access to servers, create and manage security zones, build and manage VPN access for employees and consultants, URL filter management, etc.. Manage the Aruba wireless system, and the associated captive portal hosted in ClearPass.Offer support for any network related issues which includes, but is not limited to installing and repairing network drops, troubleshooting employee and consultant VPN client connectivity, networked printers, networked PLCs, moving networked machinery, troubleshoot workstation network connectivity, terminating Ethernet cables, configuring/troubleshooting fax gateways, etc..Responsible for managing, troubleshooting, and repairing mobile phones as well as Verizon Wireless and AT&T corporate account management.Responsible for VoIP phones, Cisco call manager, Cisco unified voicemail system, and some UCCX. Responsible for quoting and acquiring computers and related equipment. Support and troubleshoot the facility wide paging system.Support and troubleshoot audio / video needs for various sized conference rooms. Perform some Active Directory tasks such as unlocking user accounts, creating user accounts, as well as creating and managing groups. Perform minor server admin tasks.Troubleshoot some VM issues by utilizing VMware's vSphere client.Provide support for helpdesk related issues throughout the facility when necessary.Provide various degrees of IT support for remote users, as well as remote offices.
