I've been in sales since 2001 and really jump started my professional sales experience in 2010 when I joined The Fastenal Company. I moved up through the ranks pretty quickly when I started as an Outside Sales Rep. Fastenal is an industrial and construction sales company that services and supplies nearly every type of industry. I integrate myself with my accounts and learn their business inside and out, which I then provide solutions for hard and soft cost savings to streamline their business, which in turn saves them money. I'd like to think I become more of a partner than just a salesman. I lead high level sales calls with CEO's, CFO's, and purchasers to find ways to achieve goals which would benefit both the customer and I. Not only am I a salesman, but I also have the responsibility to run the business as if it were my own. I lead employees and manage the day to day business operations as well. I met and exceed expected personal and company goals, which can consist of inventory reduction and control of dead inventory, account growth and retention, implementing the latest technology and company standards, and growing my sales and margin. Since working with so many types of businesses and what I do within my own company, I understand and am skilled in sales, process mapping, consulting, purchasing, managing, business operations, and adapting quickly to ever changing policies and procedures. I feel lucky to have had the experience of seeing the inner workings of so many companies and acquiring the experience and skills from this company.
