Maintaining in excess of 160 instruments on over 60 severn Trent water sites. Ensuring ppms, reactive and install works were completed to satisfaction, working along side the customer and other contractors. Gaining experience with a number or manufacturers including Hache Lange, Endress and Hauser and ABB.

As a marine engineer in the royal navy I have undertaken jobs working alone, under direction and as part of a team. I have worked with rolls royce gas turbines, reverse osmosis plants, incinerators, ventilation systems, fresh water pumps, sewage treatment plants, hydraulic systems, diesel generators of various sizes, upkeep and maintenance of fire fighting pumps and fire fighting equipment. I have also been entrusted with ensuring equipment is stood down correctly and safely prior to maintenance commencing, using a tag out system and watch keeping on running machinery in order to prolong machinery life and ensure continuous and reliable running. During my time in the royal navy I have taken part in a number of machinery breakdown drills in different capacities, including fire exercises in and out of machinery spaces, dealing with damage to equipment and finding solutions to deal with damage incurred.

Whilst at Saunders of Stapleton coach builders I was entrusted with executing detailed diagrams within set time scales. Its was imperative that not only was the work on the lorries/horse boxes/vans completed within the target time, it was also of upmost importance that the work was done to a satisfactory standard. Whilst there I was also expected to converse with the customers and owners of the vehicles to ensure that they were happy with the level of craftsmanship and that the diagrams were exactly as they expected.

During my time at B&B fabricators I was an apprentice welder/fabricator attending day release at stephensons college. Whilst not at college I worked along side my seniors and worked alone. Whilst at B&B i worked from both detailed diagrams and from rough sketches. The work varied from making 200+ balconies all of the same size, therefore using a jig, cutting H beams using oxyacetylene torches for multi story car parks, or making individual pieces of metal work such as a decorative pond covers including ornamental garden fixtures. A lot of the work carried out required extensive communication with both customers and draughtsman in order to ensure correct translation from each stage.
