As an Associate, I onboard and verify eligibility of all potential employees for both NYC restaurants in accordance with federal law. I conduct investigations into employee complaints following Nobu’s established procedures. I review and approve all I-9s for our Scottsdale, Los Angeles, Washington DC and Las Vegas locations. I process all NYC employee changes (raises, promotions, demotions, terminations) using our HRIS “Paycom”. Partner with HR director to gather research into specific labor laws for each state as well as putting together the Guardian Dental bill for all USA locations and send to AP for approval. Enroll all NYC employees in our medical insurance plans and collect all necessary insurance related forms (pre-tax deduction form, insurance waiver form) from all USA locations by coordinating with each location’s Office Managers.

As I was brought on prior to the establishment’s opening, I was tasked with creating all HR documents for the bar under local law accordance. I onboarded and verified eligibility of all potential employees in accordance with federal law. End head count was 54. When the bar opened, I processed and amended weekly payroll for all 54 employees. I wrote and publish job openings on various hiring websites along with interviewing and assessing all candidates following HR guidelines and fair practice. I partnered with the owner and other business partners to ensure successful operation of business while following all local and federal labor laws and insurance requirements.

Being brought in during Krispy Kreme's expansion into the New York City market, I was tasked with assisting with the creation of HR documents for new hires following HR standards. During our mass recruiting events I assisted with the hiring of over 200 employees for various locations as well as the NYC commissary by helping facility the smooth operation of the hiring events by following FLOW plannograms. During hiring events I also interviewed candidates. As acting AGM of the Penn Station location during the pandemic I processed and amended weekly payroll for 50 employees and also did monthly inventory of all stock and completed the daily doughnut order for the shop. During our hiring process I screened and interviewed potential candidates for a wide range of positions from team members to members of management. During onboarding, I would schedule and lead training workshops as well as follow-up trainings for all members of the team.

As AGM I oversaw a staff of 15-20 team members and key roles from both BOH and FOH daily. In addition, I scheduled both FOH and BOH while following NYC laboring laws. I kept up with the ideal family tree by providing coaching to team members in order for them to be groomed into leadership roles. I would complete the daily order for the store, ordering supplies for both the kitchen and FOH.
