Assigned various civil lawsuits and handle every aspect of discovery and litigation including jury trials at the state and federal levels. Conduct and defend depositions in various complex cases for constitutional claims, employment discrimination, construction, labor, car accidents, aviation, railway, and property. Prepare cases for trial through extensive discovery, motion practice, working with medical experts, and witness preparations. Leading negotiations and settle numerous cases. Assigned as a litigation defense attorney within the Tort Division, handled every aspect of active cases. Managed a caseload of various cases including wrongful death, police excessive force/false arrest, car accidents, trip and fall, premises liability, negligent supervision, workers compensation, and construction/labor law issues. Handled every aspect of discovery including analyzing and interpreting various city agency contracts and records. Drafted and argued various summary judgment motions and motions to dismiss. Conducted depositions of plaintiff’s, non-party witnesses, and defended depositions of city employees from nearly every city agency. Negotiated and settled a wide variety of cases at different stages of litigation.
