This was a new underground coal operation which the company began mining following contractor development of the slope. Led a team of 65 employees and contractors working 5 shifts over a 24/7 schedule to safely initiate mining, intersect and develop 2 shaft bottoms, drive mains to allow for landing room for 2 supersections, and the subsequent installation of infrastructure.
