Change Management Automation Engineer – Network Engineer Contractor
Current: Support and execute move, add and change management for Cisco’s managed voice over ip (VOIP) service. • Create and execute innovative and outcome-oriented customized automation per the requirements of each specific change. • Ensuring effective quality control and auditing by logging and storing each step of change execution. • Attend Bi-weekly CAB meetings to discuss progress and assignment of each pending or new initiative. • Using stored backups or data obtained directly from network elements; identify, analyze and report project risks.• Conduct impact analysis to assess consequences of the change requirements on existing device configuration and client services. • Assist in the assessment and prioritization of changes. • Assist Design Engineers in obtaining existing network element configuration data used to define change requirements. • Created stand-alone Windows Desktop GUI executable to solve Tier 1 and 2 DNS resolution issue. • Supported Tier 1 and 2 in obtaining running statistics from network devices using automation. • One of two having Root access to the Linux server supporting change management scripting. • Performed admin functions, create cron jobs, loaded services such as snmp and tftp.
