Leading the executive team and strategy for Coverage Care a Not for Profit Charitable society with 14 care and nursing homes across Shropshire. Coverage Care has a Board of 6 independent Non Executive Directors and 3 Executive Directors with a focus on the highest possible quality care, support and accommodation meeting as many of the residential, dementia and nursing needs of the people of Shropshire as is both possible and sustainable. Coverage Care is an active member and supporter of the National Care Forum representing NFP care providers across the UK.

One of 3 executive directors my responsibility was overseeing financial strategy and financial reporting to Board and Executive Team level making recommendations on key business decisions and contributing to wider strategic and board matters e.g. leading on the introduction of an innovative web-based neutral vendor solution to agency procurement saving +£90,000 pa. The role including line management of finance, payroll (1200 staff) and IT teams and developing strategies and solutions in each area leading on the introduction of an IT and systems strategy across the business.

Mixture of work responsibilities in the Group Accounting department for the parent company Pennon Group (now South West Water Plc).

Bristol

Audit Trainee including progress in Graduate Conversion and PE1 Examinations for the ICAEW.
