My career has taken me from the Army (with two tours in Iraq) to Brazil and Singapore in the Oil and Gas industry and now to the West Coast with semiconductors. Regardless of my location, industry, or the environment I’m working in, I approach my professional objectives (and life) believing: 1. There is a best way to do whatever it is we are doing2. Finding that optimal solution is an iterative process that requires us (the team) to a. Individually empower each member to unlock their creativity and problem solving potential b. Constantly learn I empower others to succeed because I believe that the creativity and problem-solving ability of everyone on the team will always be greater than the creativity and problem-solving ability of just some people on the team. And I am constantly learning since I am curious about nearly everything and have a strong desire to know as much as possible about everything I am doing. Through this curiosity, I earned 4 Master’s degrees and completed many additional professional education programs. My appreciation for learning also means I strongly support and encourage continual learning and development in the teams I’ve been a part of. I empower my teams and ensure their continual development because doing so has allowed me to build, lead, and work in high performance teams that find creative, long-term solutions to the issues they face.
