Marketing was an unexpected career path for me. I had originally trained and worked in commercial archaeology, until an exciting opportunity arose. That opportunity saw me using my previously acquired research skills to study products and analytics data, to create video marketing material for a global audience.After spending a year building online communities and social media brands, I returned to Australia and began working in a broader marketing role for H.Parsons Funeral Directors. This role required me to expand my knowledge of digital advertising to include platforms such as Google Ads and Google Shopping, and to incorporate more traditional forms of advertising. Essentially, this has changed my marketing and communications skillset from that of a niche specialist, to an all-rounder.As I tackle new opportunities, my goals of building relationships, expanding my knowledge and continually improving myself has remained the same.
