Logistics Manager

Responsibilities include, maintaining smooth operational flow, and sustaining strong KPI driven performance within the department, maximizing fill rates, interdepartmental collaborative projects, with our transportation department, customer service, Q.A., engineering, as well as sustain strong relationships with our various vendors. Implementing cost reduction initiatives, improving customer service levels, inventory control, and staff training. Reporting to the Director of Logistics.

Managing a team of 10 consisting of: 5 loaders operating electric Hi-Lo, 2 Crown ESR 5000 forklift operators, 1 Drexel swing mast operator / Raymond Cherry picker operator and 2 line operators receiving product from production line also overseeing clerks responsibilities.Responsible for:Overseeing Shipping and Receiving operations Maintaining a 98 % 2 hour turnaround on carriersCycle counts / inventory control Staff training Exceeding departments profitability through increased operational efficiency via enforcement and emphasis of processes Daily staff briefing and safety talksCoordinating with lateral management and upper management to meet overall operational objectives.Monitor and maintain scheduled productivity with use of WMS - Warehouse Management System Proficient with Microsoft Office Email and phone correspondence Preparation of pick sheets for loaders under FIFO ruleQuarterly evaluations and disciplinary enforcement Implementing strong clean warehouse processes
