CurrentChair morning meetings, handing over information, make operational decisions.Attend and contribute to formulation meetings for young people and a weekly multidisciplinary meeting.Review referrals and assess suitability of new young people being referred, making decisions on the appropriateness of the young person create initial care plans and risk assessments.Communicate with external agencies including social workers and YOT workers. Have an oversight and running of the daily medication process, implementing new systems and monitoring current processes.Reviewing and updating current policies. Supervise and coach staff during a shift and provide direct supervision to ‘First Line Manager’.Working in a high-pressured environment dealing with challenging young people.Attending and having the overall management oversight and decision-making responsibility of any incidents. Making dynamic risk assessments, having overall responsibility until the incident is resolved.Point of contact for Supervisors and care staff for any advice and guidance on any decisions that need to be made throughout the day.Support and report safeguarding or security concerns.Carry out investigations and fact findings into poor practices in partnership with the HR department and report findings to disciplinary panel. Delegate staff to a daily shift Rota, check and ensure there are the required number of staff on shift. Seek cover communicating with casual staff and staff not due to work. Report and support staff who are off sick.Attend management meetings regularly and contribute to the development of management strategies within the Home and report on issues which impact on service delivery.Review footage of incidents ensuring that the legal threshold has been meet for the use of physical intervention and ensure that there are no initial safeguarding concerns.Responsible Manager for the recruitment process and interviewing new candidates for role of RCO.
