I am currently working at Cavaghan and gray as a dispatch operative. This means it's important for me to fully apply myself and work to the best of my ability as I'm often assessed on my performance. During my time here I have undergone training which I have achieved my level 2 NVQ in food manufacturing operational skills, which was attended by the Humber Institute of Food and fisheries. On a day to day basis I work as part of a team of 16 individuals and as one of the most senior members of staff if my line manager needs cover I'm able to do so. This means being able to operate in every area of the dispatch department, and also being trained in quality assurance. Other roles I carry out are quantity control, maintaining high cleanliness levels and loading the products on to the wagons. During my time at the Royal Oak I was required to serve customers on a daily basis whether it was taking food orders, drink orders or simply engaging in friendly conversation with customers to make them feel welcome. I also often spent my time as a kitchen assistant prepping food and maintaining high cleanliness levels. I felt this job really built my confidence in approaching and interacting with customers.

The Terracotta restaurant was my first job after completing my G.C.S.E's at school. This job gave me a good insight as to how a work environment runs. I started my time there pot washing, but I quickly progressed to a general kitchen assistant and on the odd occasion I would wait tables. I thoroughly enjoyed working with the staff and being part of a team.
