Lead Electrical Engineer overseeing department standards, interviewing and training new hires, along with general electrical design work. Working with clients to help shape their buildings in a sustainable and cost effective manner. Assisting in the business development of the new Colorado office by developing marketing materials, generating leads, and through management of projects in the Denver/Boulder region.

Lead electrical engineer working on ground-up and large tenant improvement projects. Assisting the VP's and Project Managers with initial conceptual electrical design, coordination with services with local utility's, providing power and lighting design, specification writing, and coordination with outside consultants and owners during the various stages of the projects.

Work with plumbing and mechanical trades in collaboration with architects to design power, lighting and fire alarm systems for office buildings and luxury hotels. Perform necessary calculations in accordance with applicable electrical and building codes. Maintain documentation for project including construction documents and specifications. Write add service proposals and manage projects in construction administration phase as needed.

Design engineer creating electrical systems for renovations and new constructions, including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm and nurse call in a variety of facility types. Utilize Autocad and Revit to translate markups from senior engineers to schematic designs and construction documents. Works with a multi-disciplinary team of architects and mechanical, electrical and civil engineers.

On a daily basis, I get to bring great food and service to people and help my coworkers do the same. Beyond the aspects of making sandwiches and coffee drinks, I maintain order with the financial and decision making aspects in the Roadshow. As a job outside my standard set of responsibilities, I track a rating of coffee flavor to make sure we are only serving the highest quality java around.

I am fully trained in every position and often support other associates in high volume times. I lead the training of new employees, ensuring they understand and follow company policies. As a leader in the store, I focus the associates and make sure everyone is working efficiently and effectively together, especially in high stress moments. I help focus the store on making environmentally conscious decisions (such as recycling, saving energy, etc) with my new position as Environmental Captain.

For 5 months, I raised support (my salary for the summer) by contacting people and communicating with them via phone, mail and e-mail. During the summer, I piloted a new software for presentations. As part of that, I taught myself the software, created necessary templates and utilized it during the twice weekly services. I also successfully trained three other people in the software. Other parts of my job included running meetings, supervising various tech team workers and taking minutes.

I worked with the low brass section for four summers at their yearly high school marching band camp. Duties included running sectionals, helping teach drill and assisting the director with his duties. At all times was musicianship and professionalism emphasized in the instruction of the students.

Beyond the basics of being a barista in a cafe, I ran the store as the manager on duty when the general manager was gone. This included opening and closing the coffee shop, handling of deposits, stock and inventory, and the creation of a weekly cleaning schedule.
