Christopher Weston is a NYC based theatrical Lighting Designer. His work has been seen all over New York City, as well as internationally and in regional theaters.Chris was nominated for Outstanding Lighting Design by the New York Innovative Theatre Awards for his design of The Return of Peter Grimm at the OBIE winning Metropolitan Playhouse. He has also served as Resident Lighting Designer for the OBIE winning Immigrant’s Theatre Project, the Van Reipen Collective, and other companies over the years. From 1996-1999, he served as Artistic Director of Resistance Theater in Brooklyn, NY where he designed and directed his own original work, as well as works by others. He has an MFA in Lighting Design from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, and a BFA in Performance Studies from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.In addition to lighting theater, dance and opera, Chris has designed for interiors, architecture, fundraisers, weddings and other events.
