Chris has served in many different roles in the military, from combat operations to recruiting. During his time in the United States Army he consistently held positions of leadership and trust. He found that he truly enjoyed helping people serving as an infantryman, conducting humanitarian missions while deployed to Iraq. Recruiting, however, is when he found that he could interface well with people, and wanted to work to get them what they want. Due to his determination he was successful at recruiting in the Central Iowa area, a historically difficult region to recruit individuals into the United States Army. He earned multiple accolades during his 3 year duty. After his time in military recruiting, he was certified to train individuals about Equal Opportunity regulation and process complaints. Because of his people first attitude, he was able to handle all incidents effectively without the need for punitive administrative action. He has also implemented training within his organization to help individuals deal with stress, catastrophic thinking, and anxiety by fostering a sense of well being and realistic optimism. He is now planning on exiting the service in order to be able to spend more time with his family, and to try and grow within a corporate environment.
