Riverlands - Bollin, Sinderland, Goyt. Riverlands is a National Trust and Environment Agency partnership programme of seven catchment-based initiatives across the UK.The programme aims:1. Rivers and catchments that are healthy, clean and rich in wildlife2. Rivers that are easily accessed, valued and loved for their heritage and beauty3. Sustainable long-term care for river catchments that has national impactKey objectives: Improved water quality and habitat diversity, key species recovery in progress, increased area of habitat, more people able to access and enjoy rivers and surrounding area and inspired by the role rivers play in their lives, and that people have the opportunity to make a difference to the long term care of rivers and catchments.The project seeks to better inform shared land management practices that benefit nature as well as management of flood risk.Key responsibilities• Managing a large project (£2m+) in line with organisational framework• Leading a team (internal and external) to deliver complex project objectives• Leading and managing internal and external stakeholders and communications• Ensuring appropriate financial planning and management• Ensuring effective governance and management of risk, quality and reporting• Promotion of best practice and knowledge sharing

Project aim: to develop a partnership to influence place-making and sustainable development outside Trust and Cheshire East Council ownership, by defining what makes the area special and significant in objective and subjective terms - through understanding connectivity between sites and the wider landscape - and to provide a future strategic reference resource for coordinated, cross-boundary, landscape-scale conservation of special character. Project delivery in three parts:1. Report - identifying significant landscape characteristics based on analysis of cultural landscape, historic role, architecture, archaeology, buildings and nature - and what is special, distinctive and valued about this landscape to influence local plan policy.2. Partnership framework - which presents a process for identifying what is special, distinctive and valued about the landscape; to develop, produce and agree principles of shared land management.3. Case study - with proposed recommendations that benefits people, land and nature, with outline proposals for informing deliverable land management principles identifying stakeholders/partners for collaboration.

Responsible for strategic planning and conservation management of the National Trust’s Outdoor Places portfolio of seventeen sites across Cheshire and Wirral. Enabling a broad range of visitors to have outstanding and inspirational experiences through the quality of welcome and effectiveness of conservation work. Leading, developing and managing a team of countryside staff, business support, membership recruiters, voluntary rangers and community and corporate volunteers, collaborating with tenants and partners in the local community and other organisations.
