Ever since I was young, I have always felt the most satisfaction when helping others. As a teenager, this meant tutoring classmates and younger students. My first "real job" was in customer service where I quickly proved my interpersonal skills and became a top selling associate. After only a few months, I became a Keyholder and then the Acting Assistant Store Manager while she was on maternity leave.A few years later, I was introduced to banking when I attended a career fair on a whim. I always looked up to teller as being professional and knowledgeable any time I went in to cash my pay checks. After accepting an entry level teller position, I wanted to learn more and more about the financial industry and what it entailed to be financially savvy. I progressed through the ranks rather quickly and then started learning about peer coaching. I yearned to help my teammates and newer employees learn new techniques and practice how to become better in our roles. As I transitioned into a management role, I discovered my true passions, team-building and leadership. In my current role as a Member Service Center Team Manager, I am able to effectively build a cohesive team of 14 employees. Through coaching and developing, I am able to foster an environment for employee growth and delivery of the department and organization's goals of providing financial services to members, affordably, conveniently and professionally
