Supporting them in their roles and helping them to find opportunity and achieve targets.• Working closely with and supporting the director of Cellar Supplies with the day to day running of the business.• Developing Cellar Supplies cask ale, traditional cider and craft beer range. This also includes creating cask programmes for customers, dealing with brewery representatives and working with customers on food paring beers with their menus.• Developing new business and account management role. Identifying customers’ business needs and providing their own personalised service. Helping to support our customers from choosing the right brands for their outlet to helping them with technical issues. This also includes canvasing for new business in the market place.• Arranging promotions for our monthly flyer that I also build and design. This also includes managing a promotion budget so we can provide unique promotions in a competitive market place.• Promoting the business through advertising, sponsorship and social media representation.• Responsible for quoting for new business that I also build, design and price. • Working with customers on best practice with their staff. I have a BIIAB in cellar management so have on occasion provided technical service and cellar advice.• Sourcing unique products for customers.I love to get my hands dirty so you can on occasion see me helping on the vans, sorting tech service issues, tapping ales for beer festivals and replenishing stock when needed! I started as running the front of house team, which soon developed into managing the floor and buying. After 2 years of trading the business had grown a considerable reputation and had 2 other sites outside of Cheltenham. The company was then bought by Booker who now as a result also started stocking keg product. My duties in this time included:• Managing the day to day running of both checkout and shop floor staff. Helping to provide a good quality of service and prioritising work. I was also a key holder and responsible for opening and closing of the branch.• Responsible for the cashing up of the tills and making sure the daily takings were correct. This also included banking the money for the company and sorting floats for each checkout operator.• Dealing with customer questions and complaints. Ordering new lines and making sure that we always had sufficient stock. This also included stock taking and maintaining the pricing on these items.• Stock replenishment & merchandising. I was fully qualified on a reach truck so this also included bringing down stock and pallets for replenishment by others.• Responsible for recruitment and interviewing new members of staff for front of house. This also included training them in best practice and manual handling.In the early days of the company it also included cold calling, canvasing and organising trade events to help promote the business.
