Delivery of Client Services and Project Management within SA Water Corporation’s Information Technology Group. This group is responsible for all IT infrastructure and application development within SA Water. The role required the development of various business cases for unit managers, the evaluation of requirements and products which responded to Requests for Proposals and the management of various implementation projects from simple to complex in nature.

The assignment detailed below is in reference to the statewide Customer Information System that was a green field development by Tandem Computers for the South Australian State Government - South Australian Water Corporation and implemented on the 29th January 1996. The system was a Client/Server GUI system, based on Tandem, Macintosh, IBM PC and Sun workstation hardware and generates revenue for SA Water of approximately $570 million per annum. Initially brought into the project team as a Super User I was targeted by the IT supplier to form part of the development team and finally the manager of testing the final product. The role included the analysis and impact upon other corporate systems, including Finance, Asset Management and IVR Call Centre software. On completion of the project I obtained the position of Manager Business Initiative, which incorporated the day to day operations of the CSIS system as well as managing change requirements for the product. As the Manager Business Initiative I was responsible for a team of 10 personnel delivering help desk, and support services.

The implementation of a hand held metering system developed for the South Australian State Government - South Australian Water Corporation and implemented on the 14th April 1996. The system was a customized IBM PC based system utilizing hand held Portable Data Entry equipment. During this role I as involved in business analysis, including the development of requirements system testing, system documentation and end user training to approximately 30 meter readers of varying IT knowledge.

Delivery of call center activities within the South Australian State Government - South Australian Water Corporation, formally Engineering and Water Supply Department. These duties primarily involved the management of staff, IVR systems in use at the time, analysis of data and follow-up of outstanding issues. During this period I undertook a review of emerging systems with a view to future implementation strategies and migration paths.In Addition, the management entailed the day to day operations of a payment processing unit utilizing NCR Remittance processing systems and processing of approximately 4000 - 8000 accounts receivable totaling $500 million revenue. This role also involved the management and training of front line cashiering staff.
