Christopher is Global Lead for Communications at the Aga Khan Foundation and Communications Manager for Special Projects at the Aga Khan Development Network. A graduate of the University of Edinburgh and University College London, he has spent his career in a variety of communications roles in both the UK and China. For the Foundation – an international charitable organisation – Christopher helps raise awareness about the key development issues shaping the world today and the Foundation’s work to enhance self-reliance, promote pluralism, and improve the quality of life.Christopher is also an independent travel photographer. His work has been featured in magazines and newspapers around the world including National Geographic, The Guardian, CNN, Financial Times, and Der Spiegel amongst others.Christopher had his first exhibition at the Institut Française in Antananarivo, Madagascar, in November 2016. His second exhibition - 'The Artisans of al-Darb al-Ahmar: Life and Work in Historic Cairo' - was exhibited at London's Royal Geographical Society in April 2018. The same exhibition was shown at Philanthropy House in Brussels between January and April 2019 and in Bad Ischl in Austria between May and September 2021.Christopher's most recent exhibition – ‘The Silk Road: A Living History’ – was shown in London’s King’s Cross between April until August 2021 and in Toronto between October 2021 and May 2022.‘The Silk Road: A Living History’ book will be published in September 2024.
