• Sizing and specifying electric automation, pneumatic and liquid handling solutions into multiple industry sectors, with a focus on laboratory automation.• Defining and conducting onsite validation, calibration, optimisation, commissioning and sign-off activities.• Working with HQ development teams in the field of mass flow control and equivalent technologies.• Reviewing customer URS' and generating FDS, RACI, FMEA, Scope sections of Proposals and FAT/SAT documentation. Interfacing with Festo Business Development to assess opportunities, identify and manage risk, and with Project Engineering teams to ensure effective handover.• Leading the establishment of a country-cluster liquid handling Centre of Excellence, focused on supporting customers with roll-out and implementation of Festo's new-to-market product portfolio, by performing customer-specific tests, and consultancy on appropriate usage and system considerations. Training the country-cluster team members in this field of expertise and working practices.

Determining priorities and managing work within the Applications team (comprising 2 direct reports) I provide technical & estimating support, apply pricing, and chart their career development whilst continuing in an Applications Engineer role for key new enquiries.I work with the Pricing, Engineering and Business Unit Managers to review growth areas and initiatives.

Building upon the Support role by leading customer visits, estimating, pricing recommendations, presenting opportunities and risks to management and making recommendations, and designing and validating prototypes.Responsible for scheduling deliverables, dialogue with customers; requiring multi-tasking.

Working with the business development team to evaluate the technical and commercial viability of customer requests, whilst supporting the customer with their idea generation.I progressing each enquiry to the point where an informed 'go'/'no go' assessment could be made by management. Reporting to and working with the Pricing Manager, I developed quotations and upon acceptance of these, co-ordinated transfer to the Engineering team.

Designing pneumatic systems for semiconductor, automotive and medical applications.Areas of expertise included neo-natal ventilation, semiconductor wafer stage chuck clamping and reticle stage vacuum.I was involved in all project aspects; sometimes as part of a team, other times as project lead, including feasibility, risk analysis, FMEA, design, testing, supply chain and relations, financial reporting and project scheduling.

Gaining experience in KV Automation’s pneumatics products (solenoid & spool valves, cylinders, timers), MRP and quality systems, I worked on multiple special variant products.Many utilised the company’s in-house additive manufacturing technologies facility (rapid prototyping), where I gaining working knowledge of stereolithography, selective laser sintering, fused deposition modelling and vacuum casting.
