I oversee a portfolio of national programs as one of two Assistant Directors for the Water, Fish, Wildlife, Air, & Rare Plants staff at the Washington Office of the USDA Forest Service. The twelve, incredibly talented and dedicated staff that I'm privileged to work manage a variety of individual programs that are vital towards conserving wildlife species and their associated habitat management on National Forest System lands. I also provide oversight to some very important national programs, including, the Air Resource Management and Nature Watch programs..

I served as the principal administrator and steward of the approximately 1 million acre Mount Hood National, about 30 miles southeast of Portland, Oregon and home to Oregon's iconic peak, Mount Hood.

Billings, Montana Area

Shared responsibility (with the Forest Supervisor) for the administration and protection of the 1.3 million acre Custer National Forest in southeast Montana & the 1.8 million acre Gallatin National Forest in south-central Montana. Participated in, coordinated, and/or oversaw the management of all Forest Service programs and projects on these two national forests.

Washburn, Wisconsin

Managed a beautiful 160,000 acre corner of Wisconsin's North Woods on the Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest.
