I took manuscripts/briefs and organized editors, proofreaders and designers, managing production to the required quality, cost and schedule. Most recently on internal secondment as a web content editor, writing/rewriting and editing material for a new website.

Production Editor for a range of Diploma, A level and Higher Education books. I was involved in the project management of titles from receipt of author’s disk to supply of pdf disk to the printer, and all that this entails: management of freelancers, schedules and budgets, briefing designers, artists, picture researchers and typesetters, liaising with authors and commissioning editors and internal departments as well as advising on technical aspects of manuscript preparation.

Production Editor responsible for project managing 18 of the company’s 200-odd academic journals.

Supervisor in the Review Journals Department. I joined Pergamon originally as a trainee Production Editor in the same department. In this role, I oversaw the production of 40-odd scientific journals.
