Shepard Medical is named after my maternal Great Grandfathers, Dr. John L. Shepard 1 & 2.I founded the company initally to market my patented compression therapy devices for sports medicine. We also began marketing "Infection Protection" products, which have become the mainstay of the business today.
I founded Eagle Trading an international sourcing company with import export licenses doing business in the Pacific rim. We provide the following services in the Pacific rim, Sourcing, Import/Export, Warehousing, Pick/Pack/Ship. This enables our domestic customers to select the level of service they need for efficient operations. Several of our domestic USA customers have become importers of record while others choose to have us be the importer of record. Ask us for more information.
Co founded with a partner, started and managed a 500,000 sq. ft warehouse, and provided international sourcing, freight forwarding and warehousing operations. In 2008 we had grown to over 1,000,000 sq. ft. with locations in California, Chicago, and New Jersey. It became obvious we should spin off the warehousing operations. This allowed us to focus more on our core business and allow the warehousing operations to grow independent of SCR.
I was contracted by Farmaceutici Damor of Italy, to obtain FDA approval for their medical device products. Once approval was gained for their devices the comapny ownership was transferred to a US partner that was to undertake the marketing of their products. My services were no longer required once we had Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement. I had already begun efforts to market my patents.
