I am a recent graduate with a B.S. and a M.S. degree in Geology plus three years research, teaching, and internship experience related to petroleum geology and oil & gas industry. I am currently a mudlogger / wellsite geologist at Diversified Well Logging in South Texas, where I have experience logging the Permian, Eagle Ford, and Haynesville plays. Currently attending Georgia Institute of Technology's Online Master's of Science in Analytics (OMS Analytics) part time.My M.S. thesis, entitled “Characteristics and Natural Gas Generation Potential of Wufeng-Longmaxi and Niutitang Shale Formations, Sichuan Basin, China” integrated novel hydrous pyrolysis experiments with traditional methods such as mineralogy, TOC, thermal maturity, and Rock-Eval analysis to evaluate and compare the residual shale gas generation potential of the Silurian and Cambrian black shale source rocks of the Sichuan Basin in China where the first commercial shale gas play was discovered outside N.A.. My most extensive oil and gas industry experience occurred in 2014-16 when I served as a research assistant to the President, Chief Science and Information Officer, and other key personnel of Sinopec Tech Houston LLC on a variety of technical and administrative functions. My biggest contributions included reviewing, compiling, and summarizing fundamental geology, engineering, and commercial development of 12 major unconventional plays in North America, as a series of Sinopec special technical reports which were passed on to HQ and senior management.As a TA at the University of Houston, I have experience leading lectures, designing and demonstrating laboratory experiments, assisting students with questions and lab work, proctoring exams, and leading geological field trips to Central Texas and Galveston.
