Following multiple M&A transactions of International Asset Managers, I played a core role in the mobilisation and enablement of Perpertual Limited's newly formed International Asset Management division. This involved the successful acquisition of Trillium Asset Management (a pioneer in ESG investment management firm with a 40 year pedigree based in Boston, MA, USA), Barrow Hanley Global Investors (a leading value investment management firm based in Dallas, TX, USA), and establishment of new offices in Chicago, IL, USA, London, United Kingdom, Edinburgh, United Kingdom, Amsterdam, Netherlands, and Hong Kong, China.The work involved:- Supporting the M&A team in planning the M&A transaction, administering the due diligence process, and project managing Day 1 integration post the M&A transactions.- Project managing regulatory authorisations and change in control applications for the UK, Netherlands, and support the application submissions for the recent Pendal Group acquisition.- Project managing the deployment of a new Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platform (Salesforce) integrated with a Sales Master Data Management platform (SalesPage) to support the new established US based asset management distribution sales and marketing team.- Implementing the core collaboration, communication, and technology infrastructure and support operations for all the international teams leveraging the new Microsoft 365 technologies deployed for the first time at Perpetual.In my initial 6 months at Perpetual, I was charged with re-establishing and running the Enterprise Portfolio Management Office as a result of organisation restructuring and the departure of all members of the PMO. Restablishing the team involved recruiting several new team members for all the positions within the team. The key achievements were lifting the standard of portfolio reporting to a strategic level and re-engineering the resource time tracking and costing processes with the Finance team.
