I am responsible for daily production operations such as time management, operating the roasting machine, and crafting high-quality coffee. I am also responsible for creating and adhering to roasting schedules, collaborating with multiple outside parties, and ensuring product quality meets Department of Agriculture standards. This role is solely based on quality performance of roasting coffee and also heavily reliant on customer satisfaction. Communication with our wholesale partners via email, calls, and in-person conversations are a daily part of my job.

This labor intensive position required the discipline to follow directions, creative group problem solving, and daily team work with my crew. The nature of this job was unpredictable and meant we had to adapt to situations and issues that arose daily.

As a receiving associate, my most important role was to make sure incoming and outgoing products were accounted for and sent to the appropriate department within the store. This required logging inventory with attention to detail and cooperating with delivery personnel. During store hours, I assisted customers on the floor and directed them to correct areas.

This job included a variety of responsibilities ranging from teaching to event planning. I scheduled weekly volunteers (and learned how to quickly problem solve when volunteers backed out or got sick), organized community events and collaborated with church leaders. Many hours of studying and learning specific texts were required when I taught, along with a refined skill of public speaking and overall communication skills. One of the most valuable skills I have learned to date was truly caring about students and making sure they understood what I taught and said. I was heavily involved with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes Nonprofit in a coaching capacity, where community engagement was our focus. I assisted in coaching lacrosse, track and field, cross country and wrestling teams at Allatoona High School before and after school along with teaching character building lessons and encourage them in their sport and environment.
