During the course of my career, I have successfully led diverse, changing communities and served as a steward with learners in mind. As an educational leader, my primary focus has always been to ensure all learners are provided an equitable, supportive, student-centered academic, extracurricular, and social learning environment to guarantee well-rounded educational experiences. As a leader, I am committed to lifelong learning and facilitating innovative, creative leadership amongst those whom we serve. I am an experienced superintendent/CEO, principal, district-level and school administrator, STEAM/innovative teaching and learning curriculum director, and former instructor for anatomy and physiology, biology, chemistry, physics, and earth science. In addition to providing public educational leadership at both the school and district-level, I have served as an Educational Leadership professor and University Supervisor for students completing their Illinois Type 75 internship, a professor for graduate and post-graduate Educational Leadership degree principal and superintendent licensure, a professor for the Ph.D. in Health and Human Performance program, a certified Institutional Review Board (IRB) university research supervisor, and a professor for the Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction graduate degree program. I believe in lifelong learning and leading with a servant’s heart. I possess authentic experiences in supporting instructional competency, building leadership capacity, and sustaining innovative teaching and learning. My career path has been unique and has provided me innumerable educational leadership experiences.
