Executive responsible for overseeing the overall security of a company's physical assets, staff and customers including developing and implementing security strategies, managing security personnel, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. Security and Enterprise Risk assessment and management:Identifying, evaluating, and prioritizing security risks across the organization, including physical security, threat assessments and mitigationSecurity policy development and implementation:Creating and enforcing comprehensive security policies and procedures for all aspects of the organization, including access controls, data protection, incident response, and employee security awareness training. Emergency management and Incident Response:Developing and coordinating incident response plans to effectively address incidents, security breaches and minimize damage in case of disaster, infrastructure failure, physical security incidents, etc. Physical security management:Overseeing physical security measures such as building access controls, surveillance systems, and security personnel to protect company facilities and assets. Compliance management:Ensuring adherence to relevant security regulations and industry standards, healthcare regulatory compliance. Stakeholder communication:Collaborating with senior leadership, legal teams, staff, and other stakeholders to communicate security risks, updates, and necessary actions. Security team leadership:Managing and developing a security team, including security managers, investigators, and officers.Vendor management:Evaluating and overseeing security practices of third-party vendors.

Directs the system wide management of the public safety & security teams across the enterprise. Also is responsible for leading all programs and projects related to public safety & security in partnership with key stake holders for the SCL Health System and Health networks.Directs the operations for system public safety and security. Leads the public safety & security management teams in operations, planning, program development, budget planning, customer satisfaction, associate safety, patient safety, communication and compliance with regulatory agencies and security best practices. Translates organizational strategy into goals, action plans and metrics public safety & security. Oversees public safety & security service needs and volumes. Directs public safety & security teams in managing staffing levels and productivity. Provides communication to executive leadership, public safety & security management teams and business unit department associates through huddles, staff meetings and other forms of communication to relay updates regarding public safety & security, organizational activities, operational performance, training and quality improvement activities.Oversees resolution of issues related to service, safety, and quality. Ensures effective working relationships within public safety & security and interdepartmentally within the care site/location. Leads and participates in interdisciplinary committees throughout the organization.Conducts security assessments in conjunction with stakeholders. Advises on implementation and use of security and screening tools and systems. Coordinates with planning and construction on projects as it relates to physical security of our facilities.Directs or supports SCL Health in any public safety & security matter. Ensures timely receipts of all internal security/incident reports and follows thru on any items needing action closing each incident thru satisfaction and compliance with future preventive measures and training.

The Manager for Emergency Management and Public Safety is the subject matter expert in application, design and integration of Physical Security Systems, security forces development, staffing, deployment and contracting of security services. Has extensive knowledge of Crime Prevention through Environmental Design (CPTED), facility and asset identification, systems integration, value engineering and Project management concepts. Provides demonstrable proof of knowledge and experience in threat assessment and risk analysis; return on investment (ROI) analysis, integrated physical security systems; and the appropriate identification, implementation, and ongoing evaluation of security measures. Provides threat and vulnerability identification, analysis strategies and methods, as well as interpretation of collected data. Also provides countermeasures and recommendations related to specific threats.Serves as the health system level and local Incident Commander in response to disasters, significant planned events and large scale activities. Also assists in the management of Multi-Agency Coordination activities. Assists in obtaining and completing Federal, State, Private Sector and other grant activities. Assists in the coordination of the clinical/technical/scientific operation of the emergency management, disaster response and business continuity program for the SCL Health System and Health networks. The position serves as a resource working with; the hospitals, health networks, hospice, mental health, long term and skilled nursing, assisted living, independent living, safety net, facilities. Coordinates with the emergency preparedness associates through the system for collaborative efforts in emergency management.
