Afghanistan

• Planning lead for the consolidation and optimization of multi-DoD forces network service. Ensured resiliency of communications during downsizing of forces within Afghanistan while creating more efficient just-in-time.
• Managed 84 network communications infrastructure projects worth $27M+ for Center for Joint Operations Afghanistan (CJOA). Brought closure to 21 projects; saving $2.3M in infrastructure assets and manpower.
• Remediated information assurance vulnerabilities through the systematic elimination of poor EMSEC practices throughout the base. Ensured secure/hardened installation of infrastructure cabling/hardware.
• Managed fiber optic cable repairs after catastrophic insurgent attack; led complex four hour emergency restoral effort.
• Led establishment of the Bagram Air Base Projects Cell. Implemented program management processes and quality assurance standards. Provided staffing leadership.
• Shaped a $7B Joint Communications Weapon System into FY2014 through planning efficiencies in major network nodes. Optimized manpower and infrastructure while meeting DOD drawdown goals in SW Asia.

Langley AFB

• Directed, enabled, and sustained 24/7 USAF global network operations and centralized telecommunications support to 63 US Air Force bases via $1.2B Integrated Services Router (ISR) network. COR/COTR for the acquisition.
• On-track execution of $5.9M budget ensured delivery of voice/data/video technical solutions, acquisition strategy, and sustainment services to mission partners.
• Oversaw installation/maintenance of $72M voice/data infrastructure.
• Supervised $14M data center with 24K email accounts, 400 circuits, and 46 terabytes of data on 200+ servers and 2 networks.
• Cut document services costs by $32K annually with centralized multi-function printer acquisition.
• Led 367 equipment custodians on base and rectified $5.8b in inventory. Ensured first compliance of 121 accounts in five years and earned “excellent” operational readiness inspection.
