Senior in-house designer in Whirlpool Corporation's global brand design studio. Primary brand responsibilities include KitchenAid, Whirlpool, and Maytag with a focus on kitchen products.• Developed product design strategies and brand design systems for kitchen appliances under multiple brands for North America and Europe.• Attended industry trade shows and collaborate with internal color, material and finish team to apply trend analysis to brand product lines.• Created design guidelines to help product teams maintain brand language consistency from project kickoff through final delivery.• Influenced visual merchandising strategy of product displays through concept sketches, design guidelines, and specifications for color material and finish.

• Led the design and conception of products to expand Whirlpool's water filter business. Worked with engineering, usability, marketing, and manufacturing division to oversee design intent through production.• Developed a vision concept for indoor grilling and steaming accessories designed to integrate with KitchenAid built-in wall ovens. • Led the design of 8 small appliances for premium retail channels including KitchenAid's flagship Pro Line Series toasters.• Translated advanced stirring technology into a new product category of automatic multi-cookers designed for home cooks.• Traveled internationally to ensure correct 3D translation of design intent at OEM suppliers in China. • Heavy collaboration with category product marketing, engineering, innovation team, and direct manufacturing partners.

• Helped ideate, develop and prepare a suite of major kitchen appliances for visual brand language design research.• Managed the design and production of full scale high-fidelity prototypes for a new line of Maytag refrigerator water and ice dispensers for consumer testing.

Instructed students on core techniques for modeling in SolidWorks and rendering in Keyshot through in-class demonstration and individual tutoring. Lead tutorials on using Adobe InDesign to build design portfolios.

Worked closely with industrial designers, marketers, and R&D engineering teams to bring a variety of sink and faucet innovation to life through sketching, illustrating, 3D modeling, prototyping and presentation to corporate division leaders. Key projects included the design and development of an innovative application of custom etched patterns on stainless steel sinks subsequently launched as the 'Statement Series'; a provocation of luxury bath sinks in partnership with award-winning designer Jamie Drake; a series of culinary accessories for Elkay's outdoor sinks shown at KBIS 2009; and a self-initiated forward-looking concept for a new pull-down kitchen faucet featuring a flowing sculptural design language.

Produced motion graphics and title designs for on-air video segments broadcast on the Big10 Network showcasing the academic research and campus life at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Worked alongside the in-house prepress team over consecutive summers on a variety of K-12 educational testing products. Responsibilities included typesetting, booklet layout, cover design, tutorials, and formal presentations. Designed a digital proofreading stamp library used company-wide by copy editors and freelancers for proofreading.
