Christopher B. Cann is the Head of Options Group’s Amsterdam office. He leads a diverse and global practice across the buy side in areas of private investments, fundamental and systematic public strategies, quantitative research and specialised distribution.In 2004, he founded BuysideResources Executive Search and Strategic Advisory, which largely supported the growth efforts of the European buy side community across Europe and was integrated into Options Group in 2017. . Chris has developed a loyal and committed following of blue chip financial institutions. Prior to founding BuysideResources, Christopher worked for the Options Group, running the firm’s Amsterdam Financial Services business for several years. He was also a key driver of Options Group’s Capital Markets and Asset Management practice in the Benelux region and worked for over a year in the London office as a Director within the European Asset Management practice. Prior to joining Options Group, Chris worked for a year at Neal Management, a financial services recruitment boutique in New York. Chris received an Executive Master's Degree in International Management and European Relations from the University of Amsterdam (ASIR) (2000). He also holds a Master’s Degree in Media Ecology and Business Communications from New York University (1998) and a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology and American History from Clark University in Massachusetts (1992).
