Process Mapping

Design, development and maintenance of several large Metastorm BPM processes along with integration work with ASP.NET including AJAX, Windows Workflow and SQL Server, working for several clients worldwide. Our major client used GPS enabled phones to track the location of their trucks. I used the data captured from these phones to render the route of the trucks on Google Maps and Street View, along with calculating expected arrival times using the MapPoint web service and highlighting routes that were behind schedule. One of our other projects was the development of an ASP.NET website and back-end technology for a reverse auction website. I have also developed several add-ons for Metastorm BPM using .NET technologies, including a tool for automatically generating HTML documentation for a process using XSLT and an ASP.NET web application to render graphical representations of the progress of a process. I have also maintained the Process Mapping website.

Other work involved creating a snap-in for Active Directory and importing HTML forms. I gained experience of SQL Server, Oracle, XML, COM, MMC, UML and scripting. In my latter years, I was responsible for mentoring junior developers to aid their progress.

Bacon And Woodrow

During 1996, I was involved with the development of Prophet, an actuarial system used to forecast the value of life insurance products. This was a 16-bit Windows product, written in Delphi 1 and Visual C++ 1.52. From the end of 1996, the system underwent a complete rewrite, using an object-oriented methodology. The system was split into three tiers, using Delphi 3 for the front-end, Visual C++ 5 for the business layer and an Access database for storage. I was involved with the Delphi and C++ aspects of the code. I also used the Select Enterprise tool for analysis and design.
