Brought on to help with a large corporate migration of code repositories and CI/CD automation. Responsibilities include working with teams to migrate code, validate pipelines, provide support and assistance with their deployments. Sides tasks have included using Kubernetes to deploy Hashicorp Vault and integrating it into OIDC/OpenID. Worked with local corporate team with Kubernetes, docker, helm charts to deploy and manage applications. Deep dived into Kubernetes to be able to build and edit charts and do deployments with things like persistent volumes.

Wrote and used automated tools in Ruby to deploy and maintain multiple team services, many of which were global in scale. Helped ramp up teams with the Pipeline tools and to be able to maintain the pipelines upon my departure. Helped maintain many services that were deployed across the world. Helped with minor service features and tests in Python and Java.

Performed feature integration work for a globally consumed API on .NET and .NetCore projects using C#. Utilization of additional tools included MSBuild and Gitlab pipelines for our CI/CD. Wroted MSSQL stored procedures as well as SQL queries to validate and manipulate data.

Drove and implemented a proof of concept Ansible Tower deployment system. Used GitLab CI/CD with HashiCorp’s Packer to automate configuration of windows, updates, and sysprep to move away from manually made windows images. Added and updated Puppet manifests and modules. Implemented and ran brown bag lunch and learns to help with adoption. Topics included PowerShell, Git, Python, Puppet, and Ansible.
