My role is to ensure that the brand identity and development is achieved through the store design via a number of different channels. I have developed in-house strategies to ensure that the store design continues to develop as fashion changes. In addition I manage relationships with external design agencies that jointly contribute to the development of the brand and work alongside them to achieve the Brands aspirations and goals. The team I manage includes a mix of Store Designers and Cad Technicians whose workload I plan and oversee. Part of my role includes motivating and developing their skill set and career aspirations, One of the key goals is to support a creative work environment which promotes innovative design solutions and sets a high standard of technical drawing information in order to communicate clear details suitable for construction to a tightly programmed deadline.Working weekly with company owners and directors to discuss store planning layouts, developments and briefing for any new requirement from a store development point of view.Other responsibilities include implementation of all store interiors both company owned and franchised UK and International, design and development of any required fixturing, implementation of store upgrades/ refits and value engineering where required ensuring project risks, costs and programmes are all maintained as planned whilst retaining brand identity.

Part of the new store design team which are creating new conceptual designs for Starbucks London in time for the Olympics.Taking a project from concept to completion including creation concept drawings, initial schemes, DID's, checking construction drawings, onsite meeting and final handover.Leading scope meetings on site with property, retail operations and construction to confirm brief to enable a schematic draw and design intent.Arranging meetings to sign off schematic plans and designs with operations, property and construction.Sending detailed packages to architects to enable them to create construction drawings for site.Create the design intent, plan store layout, deliver store to allocated budget and keep to tight deadlines.Onsite meetings to ensure design are correctly interpreted. Including handover meetings.Design, detail and mange the creation of new merchandise fixtures for Starbuck's new stores.

Part of the lead design team which conceptualized the New River Island interior as prototyped in the Swindon store which has now led to store role out in Stratford Westfield and high streetsLead conceptual designs and presentations.Lead a team of Designers/ Space planners/Cad technicians to produce technical and working drawings of individual stores.Liaising with contractors and project managers from conception through to completion onsite ensuring communication and design integrity is maintained.Liaising with developers and town planners to secure approvals of designs in line with River Island brand identity. Producing shop front plans and obtaining Planning applications for approval.Planning stores layouts and producing drawing packages for License stores in Europe.Design, oversee and mange general shop fitting plans and store arrangements.Create, manage and detail standard package of merchandise furniture and perimeter prototypes. Also detailing finishes of interior walls fixtures and fittings.Managing the design intent for yearly program of 50 stores which were a mix of new stores, resite and refurbishments.Creating drawing packages for new Franchise stores in Europe.
